I am so excited to do a giveaway… I have been looking at this bowl everyday for the last two weeks. It sits in my studio on my desk, staring at me, begging me to send it out into the world to a new home.
But first the short history of this bowl. I painted it with the intent of giving it away (secret Santa). The theme was handmade… I can not say I made the bowl, if you know me, you know that I studied ceramics at art school. I can say though, I painted it, using a design that I made for my Eat Good Food embroidery project. However when the time came for the gift exchange my bowl got left at home and it was denied the opportunity of going off to a good home. (Don’t worry my giftee got another equally awesome gift.) So the bowl sat at home and waited but it was lonely, that was until this morning when I got an idea… I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to give it away, but felt like it was incomplete, it needed something more.
I was browsing my Pinterest boards for ideas and inspiration… I was seriously considering making a pillow for it or at the very least it’s very own hot pad… But it is a bowl so I got to thinking about what goes inside of it and then I remembered I had pinned an image of a mixing bowl cover. Perfect! It’s kinda a shower cap for my bowl.
Why a cover? Well if you want to keep things secure and snug of course. Keep bugs out, but keep the air flowing without suffocating your contents… This cover runs on the slightly large side (in other words it is slightly loose on 6.5″ wide bowl, but secure enough it is not going to fall off, fly away or loose your stash), so if you have an abundance of booty it will still keep everything in place. It is also large enough to use on bowls with diameters up to 9″, or a regular size mixing bowl (think Kitchen Aid).
This giveaway is for the hand painted bowl and a nice little cover to keep it’s contents contained inside. The bowl is painted with a whisk design, in lime green, and cherry red, dishwasher & microwave safe, approximately 6.5″ wide & 3″ deep. The cover fits bowls from 6.5″ to 9.5″, is a 100% cotton, pre shrunk and machine washable… Yes that means it is reusable over and over again!
To win please leave me comment below…I will draw a winner on January 23 9 PM Standard Pacific time using random.org. For an extra entry you can also like my Facebook page but leave me a comment here letting me know that you have done that that’s how I count the entries.
My apologies but because I am paying for the shipping I am only opening the contest to US and Canadian shipping addresses… Cheers and good luck, I will announce the winner Thursday January 24 at Noon PST.
*There are three ways of getting your own Mixing Bowl cover, in my shop under Kitchen Accessories, Win it! Or Make One… Tutorial Coming in the next couple of days. And just maybe I will re-enter the world of ceramics?!

You KNOW I love your stuff! I NEED to own a Megan original for myself. Santa skipped me this year, I forgot my own birthday, my rubber boots have a huge hole and it’s pouring rain, the dog won’t listen, the kid…..well, he’s pretty awesome so I can’t use him, I don’t have a valentine of my own, the car needs repairing, I’m out of brownie mix and I had to close my shop. Is that enough of a *sniff*sob* story for consideration? xoxo (can I unlike and then like your fb again?! kidding lol)
I love all of your creations!
