Thursday Tip, Cream in my soup.

Even though we are still having mostly bright sunny days here in the Pacific North West there is an undeniable chill in the air. With the trees dropping their leaves and pumpkins being harvested it is soup time. I love curling up with a comforting meal in a bowl.

One thing that can be added to many soups, even if it calls for it or not is cream… Cream adds a silky smooth decadence and turns a thin soup into a more substantial meal.

Just remember you need to add it in at the end and do not use any acid. Check out this article that explains what happens and why to milk when it is boiled or acid added.

For my pumpkin soup recipe check out Garden Therapy where I am guest blogging (there is special discount on A Kitschy Kitchen aprons for her readers).
